The obligatory song lyric post
Laibach America Lyrics
So the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are your stars still so bright
Does your banner still waves
Oh, the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are you heaven on Earth
or the gloom of the grave
You
The people of the United States
Did you form a perfect union
Establish justice
Ensure tranquility
Secure the blessings of Liberty
to yourselves and your posterity
How blind can you get
for your country
right or wrong
America
The melting pot
So the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are your stars still so bright
Does your banner still waves
Oh, the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are you heaven on Earth
or the gloom of the grave
Reverend sound clip:
"We, children
We, children, are born in Sin
We are born in Sin.
That is why we must let
The Light, The light of God
into our hearts, Children
We are all Children of God,
but to the whole we are Sinners
We are Sinners
We must let the Light, let the Love of God
the Eternal Love of God into our hearts
or we will Burn
Burn in Hell
Burn in Eternal Hell"
Praise the Lord
and Praise the Holy Spirit
to save us from your
Freedom, Justice, Peace
Accordings? and Illusion
from Arrogance and Pride
from Violence and Confusion
the Great Despair
and Great Depression
Satanic verses
of your superstition
the Land of Plenty...
Your Bill of Rights
the Enterprise
the Free Will
and the Unbroken One
your Self-Esteem
and Self-Desire
your Trust in God
and in Religious Fire
America
The end of Hystory
The end of Time
The end of Family
The end of Crime
Ok so I can't dislike this band. Despite the obvious hatred for my country & therefore myself, the song is just so awesome!
And really, they are just saying that we all have huge egos and are self concerned, money obsessed, over zealous, criminals who are quickly putting an end to family values. That's really accurate. Bravo!
I myself am excited to see what happens when the nuclear family is completely destroyed. I'd say it's like 80% complete now. I love the train wreck that is my country and my culture.
I and my friends are all in long term relationships with absolutely no desire to start families and only want to make as much money as possible and play videogames and that makes us content. ... I'm trying really hard to see what's wrong with that and I just can't.
BUT, we have all agreed that if we do have kids, we are beating them. That's the only thing I don't like about parents today. My parents didn't beat me but my older sister would fucking destroy me with a wooden spoon if I did anything even slightly bad when I was little. It only took 2 broken asses to make me the well behaved, polite human being that I am today.

I have that song on my share too. X3
Yeah I love Laibach, I looked up what they look like.. O_o have you ever seen the Tv show Renegade with Larenzo Lamas? Dear god..
My only comfort with their new CD is that the British national anthem song they made was WAAAAAY more harsh.
This is for me a very hmm touchy subject. I love a lot of US, a lot of the things you have, but i hate a lot too and really only being out of US, living out and being from a different country, different culture makes you see this kind of things. I usually not talk of this with my american friends, because i end up mad of the blindess they have. I am not saying everybody is like that but from my experience, very few really try to see what is going on out of US. And to hear..."why ppl hates us when all we do is try to help others?"....makes me wanna bite someone.
But indeed its a great song, being able to express and resume in so few words a crude reality made me wana get the song.
Yeah well the country is fucked and not just for the foreign policy. There is a lot going on that will never concern the outside world.
See when You have a lot of shitty stuff going on INSIDE, you tend to not give a shit about the OUTSIDE.
I hate our gov't, I don't think we should police anyone when more than over 10 dead bodies have been found this year within a 20 mile radius of my apartment. O_o And I barely live in the ghetto! We can't police our own people, why the fuck are we getting involved with ANYONE else's shit.
We treat our poor like subhumans. If you don't have money in the US, well you really shouldn't even exist and over time you probably won't because where you live is the first place to be poluted and well you don't have healthcare so it's not like you can get better when you get sick.
Now having said that, I still love the US. I am waaaay too conditioned to the American lifestyle to function anywhere else in the world without royally pissing people off.
I love the US, and that's why so much that the government does (On both sides of the politocal spectrum) pisses me off. I served in our Armed Forces here and overseas, so I have more than earned the right to be critical. Still, you have to admit there's a lot of countries where releasing a derogatory version of their anthem will get your ass disappeared...
Oh yeah i know there is tons of stuffs going on inside US...but you have to admit that not having a clue of what is going on outside your own country has to be a lot of the times with the coverage the media does of outside news, i know this cus living for almost 6 months in NY, i barely got news in the local channels from outside, to hear about this i had to watch BBC or the latin channels.
And i have to say that every country has its own internal problems, i could tell you that my neighbor got her car robbed when she got home and was openning her fence...2 houses from mine, at 2 pm...and i live in a nice neighborhood, but having internal problems its not enough excuse to not try to keep up with outside news, specially when your country gets involved in so many things and in the end, it affects you in one way or another. But again i blame most of this lack of information to the media.
And Nex...im lost in translation lol
